Built an AI business plan generator. $145 MRR, 83 users, 3 months in.

I was seeing a problem. People have a business idea, they know they need a plan, but they either spend weeks writing one themselves or pay $3,000 to $5,000 for a consultant. Most just skip the plan entirely and wing it.

So I built PlanArmory. You answer 14 questions about your business and it generates a full 30+ page plan in about 60 seconds. Executive summary, market analysis, financial projections, the whole thing. Export to PDF or Word.

Last month I shipped a marketing plan generator too. Same idea: answer a few questions, get a full marketing strategy with a content calendar and 90 day action plan. Figured most people who need a business plan also need help figuring out how to actually get customers.

Where things are at right now:

• 83 signups, 5 paying customers at $29/mo ($145 MRR)

• 72% of people who sign up actually generate a plan

• 6% free to paid conversion

• Running Google ads (~$27/day total)

• Just shipped a marketing plan generator as a retention feature

• Zero churn so far

Biggest challenge is traffic. The product converts well once people find it but getting organic traffic with a new domain is slow. Working on SEO and backlinks right now.

Built with Next.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe, and GPT 4o mini for plan generation. Solo founder, doing everything myself.
