Would love to hear about this as well!

Only advice I remember is: Make sure it's something where it looks like you could immediately improve it to get revenue faster. Like if you can make it more usable, a little bit prettier, or leverage marketing or dev knowledge quickly.

But I know there's a ton of other issues, like:

Is this being sold because it's on its way out of fashion/usefulness?
Is the code so old, you're going to have to do a significant rewrite to make minor changes?
How much time does it take to maintain and support?
Lots of hidden issues relating to social media, costs, ads, etc.
Is the seller being honest and transparent?
