𝗜𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗯𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗬𝗲𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝘁

We all at least somewhat understand the prestige of wearing a great watch, carrying a luxury purse, or dressing in the finest attire. The prestige that comes from walking into a social gathering "dressed to the nines" is something that everybody understands even if they don't necessarily take part themselves. The elite get access to special clubs, are spoiled rotten by hosts, and every business gives them things for free. Add a sports car, the best seats in the house, and hanging out with the rich and famous, and we all see and accept it as real.

To understand the Metaverse you need to think along similar lines. Wearing a Bored Ape PFP (at one time worth hundreds of thousands of dollars), dressed in exclusive digital Nikes secured by NFT, having access to the most exclusive virtual clubs where the rich and famous hang out (like Snoop Dog), and driving a vehicle as cool as any created for any modern game, and you have a similar kind of prestige to that which you have in the real world. And yes, everyone caters to them, they get things for free, everyone wants to be friends, and even the real world recognizes them as someone special if they are "in the know" about tech. You can even get rich in the real world for being famous in the Metaverse.

Now, you might argue that all this virtual stuff is just fake. However, our digital lives are taking over. Is your online presence and following important to you? Do you still read the newspaper or do you get your news online? Do you carry cash and a checkbook or do you do your banking online? Do you care about "likes" and "followers" and whether you look good (hesitating to hit "send" to avoid looking foolish)? Our digital lives have become important in ways people would not have imagined not too long ago.

So, when you think about the Metaverse try to imagine being famous and recognized for the value of your belongings (NFTs), seeing the future before everybody else (being an OG), walking around with a really cool PFP, seeing people react adoringly to your Metaverse fame, and being granted access to exclusive parties and clubs where only the most famous (and rich) hang out. Can you see it?

There's an attraction to this upcoming Metaverse. It's fun! You can get similar feelings to the high life of the real world. And gamers, younger generations, and the tech savvy have an advantage that allows them to acquire the prestige that eludes them in the real world. Not to mention that online digital lives are more important to a lot of people these days than going out into our real and complicated lives.

If you look at it correctly it makes sense and portends the inevitability of the Metaverse. Billions of dollars are being invested, the best tech talent is diving in head first, Startups are everywhere, and even Facebook has renamed their entire company Meta. Do you still want to bet against it?

Note: Don't make the mistake of dismissing it because of Crypto, DeFi, and Scams. They are different things.
