Hunter Walk is a VC and partner at the VC firm Homebrew. Homebrew has invested in companies like Chime, Braintrust, Carbon Health, Coda, Coin Tracker, Graphite and many more.

I always find his posts to be down-to-earth and human-centered, versus so much that comes out of VC firms.

With all the talk about AI, especially OpenAI (which Patron Hunt uses), I think Walk raises quite a few interesting questions with this post. For example: not unlike genomic mapping, OpenAI's product is dependent upon astronomic amounts of public data. OUR data. Is it right, then, for OpenAI to be the sole determiner of what is done with its product and not be required to put it back into the public domain?
