Can you 𝗕𝗨𝗜𝗟𝗗 and 𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛 a Product in 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 weeks?

For 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 we've decided to come up with a series of ideas for easy to build Bootstrapped Products/Tools to build and launch through the year.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦:

✅ Easy to Build (4-6 weeks)
✅ Easy to Use and therefore support, so no support overheads
✅ Easy to Market - well that's the hope 😉
✅ Can be built on the side whilst still doing all my regular stuff

𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 1 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘸𝘦'𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵:

✅ Product Name Decided - TextZformatter!
✅ Domain Name Purchased
✅ Twitter Account Created
✅ Facebook Page Created
✅ LinkedIn Company Page Created
✅ Indie Hackers Product Page Created
✅ Set of Branded Logos Designed and Created
✅ Basic First Draft of Product Created

Okay, it's not quite 2022 yet, so we have started a little early but need something to do on the side at Christmas other than eat Turkey 🦃 and watch Christmas movies 🎄📺

I can sense your enthusiasm, Phil! 😂 I love the idea of trying to iterate more frequently.

You said that you wanted to develop products in 4-6 weeks. Does that include marketing time?

Cheers @brandonHacker, I generally do work like this and try to deliver code and features and make impacts as frequently as possible but haven't really done it much in my side-projects.

So 2022 is the year to do it.

In answer to your question, I think the intention is to get the things built and ready to market within 4-6 weeks so the marketing or any launches will overlap on the next project build.

The intention is to try and build projects that sell themselves.

      Sounds impossible??

It probably is but you'll see what I mean with at least this one once It's launched.

What we will do and always do with these micro-businesses is bring down the running costs and support costs to a minimum so we can do multiple things.

I've generally got 3-4 businesses running at any one time.

Haha nothing is impossible! But it doesn't sound easy, either. 😂 Good luck! I look forward to updates.

3-4 businesses at one time?? Holy moley! 😂 Bravo, sir!

Hey Phil. Awesome initiative. Let's create a challenge to build and sell your products on Microns.io in 4 weeks. It would be so much fun :)

It's an interesting thought. I certainly can't support and market lots and lots of micro-products so not sure if the model is to set them up and sell them on or see which ones are breakaway successes and focus down on those. The base idea is to get numerous MVP's out there through 2022 and then see what happens.

      1. 2

Yeah, I mean, you can start with just one, and we'll cover it in our newsletter and social. Then, after this, the challenge could happen. This way, we'll inspire a lot of founders.

I did something similar for superseo.tips

It took me a weekend to do the site and about 2 weeks to record the videos.

Nice work Roberto. Two weeks from conception to completion is brilliant.

Luckily those are or pretty quick tasks to get out of the way and can be done consecutively with building a prototype. The main thing I'm trying to achieve is to build apps through 2022 that can be built and launched fast rather than something that takes a lot of effort before you've validated it's useful or not. the whole idea really is to get numerous MVPs out there through 2022 to see which ones have legs.
