How did you guys find the new Apex Legends battle royal game by EA Games? I am really impressed with the fact that Apex attracts over 50m players just in a month.
And there are already lots of projects related to different gaming stats trackers. Well, even DreamTeam made an Apex Legends tracker https://dreamteam.gg/apex. And I thought that mostly they are focused on other esports games like CS:GO and League of Legends.
I am really surprised how these battle royale mode games attracting new users in a very short term like it was with PUBG, Fortnite and the new CoD mode. Even such giant like Battlefield 5 releases battle royal mode.
Let me know what you think about this whole gaming industry.
Respawn and EA banded together a bunch of Twitch streamers weeks beforehand and did sponsored streams on launch day. Since most big Twitch steamers were playing Apex, everybody else wanted to play too. That caused the previously unannounced game to go viral on Reddit and Twitter. It was kind of genius, actually.
Yeah, this strategy worked really well. Personally, I play mostly LoL and Battlefield sometimes but I really liked Apex Legends. Kind of something new in the world of almost same battle royals games.
