Check out my first ever SaaS

So, after building many projects and never finishing something due to lack of motivacion, or just jumping to other ideas, I decided to finish this cycle and end something I start.

I haven't done market research, I've just finished something I started, to practice this habit mainly.

App: https://book2audio.io/

I've posted to some placed, PH, HN, REDDIT.

Seems like the product has not a good fit and the pricing is way to expensive, but still, it was a great experience and we collected valuable feedback that helps us to shift the app to a more academic niche, basically pivoting.

Tell me what you think.

This is really cool, your site is nice and it is a creative idea. The narration feels a bit sterile though :( sorry.

I must admit I'm out of my depth and wouldn't be the target audience. I don't listen to audio books anyway except for long car journeys in my childhood. Maybe you should try talking to some authors and asking how they feel about it? It seems much much cheaper than producing an audio book but for the book consumer buying an audio book is probably cheaper directly and more reliable.

I might be crazy as I don't know much ML but maybe you could get more interesting voices by using a voice cloning AI (I think autoencoders)? It would require some finness though: https://youtu.be/NBOm5bPJJU4?t=623

Maybe it could be different, by making it easier to have audio books with multiple voices narrating as that's more expensive for traditional narrators but not you.

^^ getting an audio book narrated isn't super cheap

Hello thanks for the reply, really interesting. Actually shifting the product towards book creators seems more appropiate than directly to consumers, I haven't thought of that one.
