Chrome Store analytics messed up?
In the last 2 weeks we see that the Chrome Store analytics is very wrong.
Now, the weekly active user value is going down, even though install number subtracted by uninstall number is pretty high positive number.
Our google analytics also show that the uninstall has not gone up, still we are having this issue.
Is this something you all notice with your extension? Is this a recent bug?
Well, I've seen this trend at about mid-December -- tons of people are off, and their computers and therefore browsers, are off and are not reporting the installs. I generally see a 20% dip on average between December 15th - January 15th.

Ya, you are right. I also see a similar dip during this time. It is not starting to catch back up. When I look at the country based data, it seems that the dip is more profound in countries where Christmas is a big deal. So, I guess these number will come back up once people are back from the holidays.
I have the same in PocketTube. My weekly active users are going down by 5K. I think it is related to holidays. Many office PCs are not working in the period.
Even large extensions have the same issues https://darkreader.org/blog/5m-users/ Users are going down every January.
