Comment Section for Git Projects: Yay or Nay?

I have a project idea but I am not certain if it's a good one.

I am trying to develop a project which involves creating a comment section on Github or Gitlab where people can make a comment or post their ideas regarding web projects. That way, the owner of the project can get an idea or feedback if the project is good or if it still needs development. If it does need development, the owner will be able to get brilliant ideas from co-web developers to make the project even better. But that is just my own perspective.
