Contract Job Board Update

So I launched Just Contract Jobs a few months back as a job board for people looking for contract jobs and the recruiters and companies looking to hire them.

Sadly, I ended up frustrated with the platform I originally chose. Despite my efforts, SEO results were non-existent and the job importer they included to populate the site was really subpar. Imported jobs were not in chronological order and just looked generally, well, bad.

About a month ago, I decided to relaunch on jBoard and wow, I simply could not be happier.

Thanks to their built in SEO functionality, we were ranking in the high teens for a bunch of keywords perfect for our board. For example:

• contract work columbus - 14.3rd result
• contract work charlotte - 17.5th result
• indianapolis contracts jobs - 19.9th result
• cybersecurity contract jobs - 23.7th result
• contract jobs seattle - 24th result

All of this was generated automatically based on the job posts from other boards that I've imported. jBoard is awesome at creating pages that rank for these long tail niche keywords out of the box.

After 2-3 months Google should start ranking these keywords even more consistently, so I'm really looking forward to that. Also, these results are occurring despite the fact that I have all of the imported job posts set to noindex to avoid duplicate content from the boards I've imported them from; another awesome jBoard feature.

We haven't made any sales just yet, but I am optimistic that as we continue to improve in SEO that they will start to come in. If you are thinking about starting a job board business in a particular niche, I simply cannot recommend jBoard enough; it is a fantastic product with fantastic support.
