Conversion brutality. What to do.

There are levels to this game, and I've entered completely unknown territory. I'm being forced to upgrade my skill tree at a rapid rate in order to survive. With the passage of each day I am tested in new ways, here is where I am at.

I launched my SaaS about a week ago (scavng.com), and in the first day of marketing--running my linkedin bot on freelance pages--I got a trial user to put their credit card in. I was ecstatic.

I had been reading articles about the importance of getting payment as fast as possible AND had heard that credit-card-upfront-trials might deter a lot more trial users but would ultimately result in higher conversion rates. Of course, I didn't know so I gave it a shot. https://t.ly/jLCp <--indiehackers post, super interesting

Here's the issue. I've had no one front their CC since the first guy.... despite a bunch of signups. I did change the price from $49 to $99. Maybe that's the issue? But is it deeper than that? Competitors are charging more.

The data. Roast me plz. Need THE MOST honest feedback.

Since I just put up analytics, I don't know for sure, but I estimate total visitors is around 600 --> 80 signups --> about 50 capable of putting in card (stripe was broken)

So far only 1 user has put his card in to start the trial, the rest have bounced. 1:50 ratio.

I just updated my landing page and I know this for sure:
The last 180 visitors have produced 39 signups (but no cc)

I guess I just have a flurry of questions. Should I remove the CC upfront? Maybe I've got no PMF?? Can I even know that yet? Maybe I'm targeting the wrong niche? Is pricing my problem? What are solid ratios for signups : visitors? What are other folks numbers looking like? If I remove the CC upfront how do I convert users??? I'm going mad hahaha

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!
