Copying another business outright?

I know one of the tenets of indiehacking is to avoid competition, but I recently found a business that I could easily copy outright and start pitching to local business owners around me. Wondering if anyone has any experience or examples of this. The reason I'm not worried about competition is because I haven't heard of the business I'm copying, and if someone as tech savvy as me hasn't then I'm sure that none of local businesses have.
