Hello everyone,
I came across craiyon.com recently and the approach is interesting.
The website itself centers around the newly released DALL-E mini-application. DALL-E is a new AI model that is able to create images based on a description.
The interesting part is, that DALL-E mini is just technology. It is cool & fun to play around with it, but there is no real-world application or problem-solving attached to it.
That's why the website craiyon.com is interesting. The website itself also doesn't have a real-world application neither it is solving any problem. It just showcases the technology.
But, the website does create a brand name for the technology. People who want to play around with the DALL-E technology, are channeled to the website craiyon.com.
That's ideal, as an audience is created around technology for which a real-world application doesn't exist yet.
Why am I writing this here?
Because it is a viable strategy to utilize new technology without an application. Instead of solving a problem, the first milestone is to establish the brand name associated with the technology.
I also guess that the creators of craiyon.com simply analyze the requests they receive through their Email sales@craiyon.com to come up with an application people would pay for. Basically, they are able to talk to potential customers directly. Unbelievable!
Good luck on your journey.
