Crowdsourcing bad ideas

Hey,

I feel like building something, but I don't want to steal your good ideas.

Share a bad side-project or startup idea. All ideas welcome, the worse the better.

Cheers,

One of my most treasured belongings is a little gizmo I won at a MENSA convention: a solar-powered flashlight. It is a flashlight bulb wired to a solar cell. Genius!

Not quite a bad idea (I think) but a website spellchecker. Like it recurrently pings your website and finds any spelling errors.
I think if it’s done well it’d actually be really useful, but it is SO difficult to build it it’s definitely not worth it. The amount of complication that comes from crawling and scraping a website, pulling all text from a webpage (this is the real difficult part), as then checking spelling in different languages. It gets so messy and overwhelming quick. It’s basically my white whale of SaaSs that I want to build but never can.

Oh and let me add a website called "telemarketer finder" with a tag line "enter your phone number once, we pass it to thousands of interested telemarketers" add in an automatic opt-out from the national do-not-call list. Make no effort to confirm the phone number entered is owned by the person entering it. Maybe include a big blob of taboolah stories below the fold just to monetize it.
