Curious, went to select an article on the "right" side/column. Was prompted with a "pay/join" dialog..
Is this how the site is now generating rev?
thanks
Yes, it's one of the ways we're monetizing. We're also monetizing through ads.
Most content on the site will remain free, but the stuff written by our staff will be paywalled.
Hey Channing!
Thanks for the reply. Is there a way to initially separate pay vs free articles. As an example, on the default/main page, there's the central/middle column. I select an article, the pay form appears. I select another one, no pay form!
thanks
ps.. great job!
Currently there's no way to separate paid and free articles. It's all just a hodgepodge
Thanks!
doing a great job man!!
how's stripe these days!!
ballin' i imagine.
Thanks! And we don't work at Stripe anymore! (https://www.indiehackers.com/product/indie-hackers/indie-hackers-is-indie-again--NSIAlb7LggSjzTavQZb)
Hey Channing,
Off topic (email me if you wouldn't mind)
Working on a concept/idea, but it might require some serious management/security of data (user data, biz records, crm, etc.. ). If you're going to present services to businesses, given the nature of the 'net, you better lock things down. And given that Fortune 5 operations are getting hit everyday, figuring out how to handle parts of this issue would be helpful.
So... You've been touched by Stripe, and you probably know others in the tech space that would be useful to reach out to at some time in the future. (forgive me for not having your linkedin data -- for some reason it's not letting me login!)
thanks

Like calling someone's kid the wrong name!! Guess I need to ping a bit more often!
But the rev issue sheds light on the paywall!
