Customer Advisory Board management

At my last few orgs, we've leveraged our top few customers to build-out advisory boards that meet every few months. Customers share what they are building + roadmaps using our technology as well as new features they might want to see in upcoming releases of our software. The way we've managed and communicated with board members is through emails, excel, and surveymonkey, which is a rather cumbersome way to do things. Does it make sense to build a solution that helps with the management of advisory board management and has in-built features like polling, reporting, tracking, etc?
