dōzo MVP is out

dozoapp.net is now looking for beta testers.

What's dozoapp.net ? A dashboard that allows you to control the navigation of your students on their chrome browser. It's an easy and convenient way to keep your students stay on task. Especially if they use a Chromebook.

There are many applications that allow you to monitor students activity on a computer, but they are expensive and / or complicated to set up.

dozoapp.net only needs a Chrome extension.

How to use dōzo?

  1. Have students install the Chrome extension on their Chrome browser
  2. Create a session on dozoapp.net
  3. Provide the code to the students
  4. Ask the students to click on the extension icon to enter their identifier (first name, pseudo...) and the code
  5. Control the dashboard

    Hi Alex,

I am assuming the link you shared is of a landing page for Dozo, where people will sign up.

Honestly there is a lot wrong with this page.

    Here are some suggestions:

    1. Have a clear headline that demonstrates the value. Supplement it with product images. Have clear CTA buttons for signing up or getting started.

    2. It is not clear as to why people should use Dozo. Show some features or highlight how simple it is to achieve the goal that the potential user wants to done.

I know this is a pretty vague feedback, but I would recommend checking out at least 10 other landing pages of Indie Hackers products in this group to get a better idea as to what you should include to make it tick for your potential users.

    Hope this was helpful...

      Hi, thanks for the comments.

There is a new homepage now. It should be easier to understand the purpose of dо̄zo and easier to have a look with the "DEMO" button.

      Any other comment ?

      Thanks again

        Hi Alex,

The landing page does not communicate well.

        Here are some suggestions:

        1. Have a big bold one line heading that talks about the value that dojo provides.
        2. Use a small two line description to tell how dojo adds value.
        3. Make the product demo CTA more visible by adding a background color.
        4. Add how it works section.
        5. Use another font and a font-weight that is easy to read.
        6. Move login and register to the navbar.
        7. Showcase the product screen to the right of the new title, subtitle and button.
        8. Use words that relate to your audience. I think it's for teachers. Highlight their pain-points of conducting exams online. Create a need and then pitch.

        Hope this helps.
