are you on track for launch?
@8bit short answer no, longer answer I initially planned for a release mid-February, and missed that by two months (O.O'). I spent a month reviewing devops material, which I felt was important to avoid vendor lock-in, vendor pricing, and to grant myself agency. I'm wrapping up that material today, and today I hope to apply those learnings in laying a foundation for my app. Do you have any advice for managing schedule slippage?

but, you're going to want to make sure you have a strong community around you — that's the ultimate way to stop slippage... when you work with others, that accountability really helps.
Yeah, I think that's why my schedule is so routine. I've done the make-it-up routine before and it's never worked for me. I'm really glad to have this community, Pioneer, MicroConf Connect, and Boss as a Service, as well as friends and family!
Some positive news today! Just proved out PostgreSQL viability that also unlocks some of the features I wanted. This isn't the end or beginning of the end, but it might just be the end of the beginning.

Tomorrow I'll start on tinydev infra, or laying foundations from AMI definition to Docker Compose in order to bake in a lot of the knowledge I've gained from the past two months into code and data.
