Yesterday I started working on my project, it will be my main focus while I'm in between jobs. I finished most of what I set out to do. Calling it LiveSchoolTV (LSTV) for now.

-Gmail setup
-Market research survey creation DONE
I didn't get to the gmail and domain setup as I've been hemming and hawing about my domain name. Here's why...
I spent a lot more time on the customer interest survey than I expected. It was tough figuring out which questions I wanted to ask, ie which data I REALLY wanted to get to. Once I posted on Facebook, a few people wanted to deeply engage with me about it. So I found 3-4 early evangelists yesterday.
Early results are very supportive of my two main hypotheses about the market need (with some strong detractors too). My business model has a kind of line-in-the-sand about minimal interest level, so the rapid pacing of the results and the overall positive nature are adding a lot of oxygen to the room.
However, the results came with a big problem. I had whittled my overall solution down into one specific, very doable-by-me kind of tech thing. In the survey I included some "would you be interested" style questions for the larger solution.
% of respondents interested in my pared down offering: 52%
% of respondents interested in my larger offering: 54%
The larger offering is a considerably larger revenue stream. So I will need to work out either a phased approach to launch, or work out a funding mechanic very soon.
Super interesting note: 3.2% of students in the U.S. Homeschooled last year, about the same for the last decade.
Now, in this "strange new world", 30% of respondents are considering homeschooling, probably to avoid the "distance learning" or "distance learning/brick and mortar school" fiasco that COVID-19 has caused.
@Davey how did you distribute to your target customers?
Parents of school-aged children, which I know quite a lot of in my peer group. Then someone shared in a couple parents groups. To supplement and enlarge the circle, I added 100 paid responses from SurveyMonkey, targeting parents of school aged children.
BTW, if you're a parent and want to add your responses, it's 6 questions and takes about 45 seconds :)
