Do you lose users because they don't understand your tool fast enough?

I'm a CS student and I keep seeing the same complaint from SaaS founders —
users sign up, get confused, and churn before seeing the value.

I'm building a tool that auto-generates an interactive product demo
from your docs URL. Paste your link, get an embeddable walkthrough
your users can try before signing up.

Looking for 5 SaaS founders to test it free in exchange for honest feedback.

Is onboarding/activation actually your biggest drop-off point?

One thing I'd be curious about is how often the problem turns out to be understanding versus conviction.

Some users leave because they never grasp the product.

Others leave after understanding it perfectly well and deciding it isn't important enough to change their behavior.

Those can look surprisingly similar in the funnel.

That's a really sharp distinction. I think you're right that
they look identical in the funnel which is exactly the problem.

My assumption is that an interactive demo helps with both —
if someone plays with the product and still leaves, at least
you know it's conviction not confusion. Right now most founders
can't even tell which one is killing them.

Is that a problem you've hit personally with your product?

That's exactly why I found the distinction interesting.

A lot of founders assume an onboarding improvement will reveal which one it was.

        Sometimes it does.

Other times the onboarding gets better, the numbers improve, and the original question remains surprisingly unresolved.

        The visible result changes.

The explanation behind it doesn't necessarily become clearer.

That's the part I'd be most curious about.
