Does this make sense?

I'm working on a new product, and for the first time ever I'm not jumping directly into the code but instead trying to validate the idea first.

Long story short, Backdrop is a tool you install on your website or product to learn more about your users. You know those classic questions you're asking (or want to ask) your users like what's their job title or where did they saw your product? Well, it takes care of that for you.

It solves:

• Not having to manually code or configure forms yourself.
• Asking questions to both new and old users, instead of new signups only (usually these questions are asked during onboarding).
• Keeping segmentation data updated and in a single place, instead of spread out over multiple services and separate forms.
• Increases conversion rate by asking these questions while the user is using your product, instead of during the signup process.

It also does it in a pretty novel way. Instead of configuring forms yourself within your codebase or using a third-party form builder, you just define the fields you want your users to fill out and Backdrop takes care of all the asking for you.

It's cool because it's smart enough to ask all users, not just new ones, in a way that doesn't interrupt their workflow. You can even do some wild stuff like setting recurrence, to ask your users to update the answers they gave previously; or indicating the relevance of fields, so Backdrop knows what's important to ask first and what isn't.
