Airlines & booking sites charge you more if you're viewing the page on an iPhone since they expect that apple users would be willing to pay more.
What do you guys think of a Shopify SaaS that allows you to set pricing rules based on operating system, language, browser, screen resolution etc.?
I'm not really sure on the ethics of this but if there's demand for it, someone's gonna build it eventually, so I might as well be the one.
Do you think this has potential? How do I get in contact with store owners to ask them directly?
As a customer I would feel cheated if that would be the case. One of the reasons why it works for airlines and booking sites is that prices always fluctuate based on season/demand so it's hard to notice, while for a merchant with a few dozens of hundred of products most people can keep track of the prices.
True. What about text-salespages? The ethics haven't improved the slightest, but it should be less noticable there. Do you think there's demand for smth like this?
Have no experience with text sales pages, but overall the consumers and brands are going more towards to radical transparency.
Thanks for the insights :)
