Early Access is ready for Status Tracker

I am currently building my first SaaS app - Status Tracker.

This week I have announced that it is ready for Early Access. As this is my first SaaS, and I don't have a QA team to test things for me, I'm a bit nervous about opening it up to the world without some real testing. I have decided to keep early access a bit limited for now, in hopes to keep the experience more personalized and allow me to fix any major bugs before opening it up to the public.

I do have a sign-up on the landing page for those interested in early access. I am still personally contacting each person who registers for now, to keep it personalized.

This is my 2nd major milestone for my first SaaS, and my first #BuildInPublic experience. Next up, official product release! Date is yet to be determined.

I like the idea for status tracker, I think there's probably a good business there!

What you mentioned about niching down is a great idea. I imagine plumbers, taxi companies, local restaurants could all find this useful.

      Thanks for the feedback!

Taxis and restaurants are interesting. Most taxi companies have their own app with GPS tracking and booking now that I have seen. But maybe that's not the case everywhere (I see it a lot in here in Paris)? As for restaurants, you mean for tracking takeout/delivery orders outside of things like UberEats/Deliveroo?

Not so much delivery, I was thinking for when people want to put their name down for a table at a bar/restaurant so they can wander off and get a text when its ready

Ah, ok. That's an interesting use-case I hadn't thought of.

When I read through your landing page, Agile came to mind. I think you're on to something. Go win!

Thanks for the feedback Muyiwa! That's a good point, I could see focusing on the agile philosophy helping target dev agencies.

    Hi :)

    First of all congratulations!

You landing page explained clearly what the product is but honestly i can't find use cases that fits for me. Maybe can you explain a little bit for what kind of business you are aiming, some examples?

Don't worry about bugs! Just make sure all happy flows working and you have resources to fix what is broken.

      Thanks for the feedback Michael!

The messaging is something I am currently working on. I think it's too generic, and as you said doesn't provide any examples or specific details. My biggest challenge with this is deciding on a niche to target. I know I should "niche down", but I've had trouble deciding this target.

I started building Status Tracker with the intention of targeting service industry companies like auto-repair shops, construction companies, etc... I was focused on building the app up to get an MVP out. Now I'm back to focusing on the marketing, and trying to fine-tune this messaging.

I think I might add some screenshot/mockup demonstrations on the landing page to show use-cases and what it actually looks like. Thanks for the suggestions!

Ok, i completely understand you. You can consider creating multiple landing pages for different niches to see which one fits best?

Anyway, good luck, i will follow your progress :)

Ah, I didn't think about that! I could setup some A/B testing on the landing page with different targets. Thanks for the idea and the follow!
