EchoLive, Week 1 IndieHackers Update
We're building a live streaming platform for creators who are tired of being invisible.
Not the top 1%. The other 99%.
You know, the ones grinding on TikTok Live, Twitch, and YouTube who never get discovered because the algorithm was never built for them. That's who EchoLive is for!
What we did this week:
Skipped the ads. Went straight to the people.
We've been showing up in creator communities, listening more than talking, and asking the questions most platforms never bother to ask. The feedback has been consistent: discovery is broken, the revenue split is unfair, and nobody feels seen unless they're already famous.
Does that sound familiar? That's TikTok Live in a nutshell. We're building the answer.
Right now we have 50+ creators in our Discord and 90+ on our pre-referral list, all expressing intent/interest to make EchoLive their primary streaming home. Zero paid acquisition. Many of them are active TikTok Live community streamers who reached out to us first.
What we're building:
Ultra-low latency co-streaming. Real-time engagement monetization for viewers and creators built around the gifting culture. A creator/platform dominant revenue split in the creator's favor. No ad dependency.
Think of TikTok Live, but the platform actually works for you!
MVP is done. We're pre-seed, raising $250K, and looking for people who understand the creator economy at a structural level, not just the surface. Many showing interest!
The honest part:
It's early. Some days are quiet. But the signal is real, and we're not going anywhere but closer to public launch!
More next week!
