Email Marketing Software for Apps?
Hello everyone,
I'm an indie hacker who has built a Shopify app. The app has a good chunk of users (nothing crazy), and a smaller chunk of paying users.
I've found some success using emails for the app. I send an email out to users when their monthly limit was reached, with a link to upgrade to a premium account.
I've seen some success when this email goes out for sure.
The problem is I have challenges getting most of my users to come to the app. Therefore a lot of them aren't getting to this email that goes out in the first place.
I would definitely appreciate some advice on email marketing services. I'm looking for something I can ideally send about 2-5k emails from each month, ideally for free or as low budget as possible.
I'm also looking for something that offers great segmentation support. And something that has a good set of templates to get started quickly.
GMass is a good, simple service that lets you send a mailing to up to 10,000 addresses. Sendgrid's Marketing Campaign (not the Email API) at $15/mo gives you 15k emails/mo on a contact list of up to 7,000. MailChimp is also good and affordable. Constant Contact, AWeber and Sendinblue offer more features but they're expensive.
For transactional emails, @Tim12's suggestions are good.
The biggest annoyance with mass mailings in my experience -- aside from mail HTML being its own strange beast -- is how often mails go to a spam folder. Be ready to do a bit of research on subject lines and tracking domains if you see things going to spam.
sengrid, mailijet, amazon are great to send email. All are with API
