Emailing to those who Unsubscribed?

Hey everyone,

So, I launched Designtack yesterday and sent out the launch email to the people who opted in during the beta phase through landing page.

Now, I found that a couple of them just unsubscribed, even though I kept it all personal to them.

My question is: Would you email to the people who unsubscribed, maybe asking them about why they did or just leave it.

Thanks,

I'm not sure it would be okay with GDPR because once somebody unsubscribes you are supposed to remove their data.

Yes! That is one of the main part. I am sure Convertkit does that when someone unsubs.

It's normal, it's a feature to keep the real customer. most of ppl signed up and they dont really need it. Unless everyone is unsubscribing, it will prob waste ur time to go after ppl who doesn't need ur product

I get it. This way it is automatically filtering the serious customers only as well.

        yeah, basically lol

I would email them with a discount and a survey. Don't push it hard, keep it simple and you will be fine!

I don't want to be pushy to them. Maybe I can send an email from my personal email, asking about it.

Yeah, that can work. I sent an email to our beta users from company mail without my name and nobody responded. A week later I included my name at the end of my email and a lot of people responded to my question. You can try it too without using your personal mail.

In my case, my first email was made personal, I mentioned my name as well. If the cycle continues i.e. more people unsub, then I will give this a try. Thanks!

I would but I would go to great length to say that it is really the last mail I sent. And that I am not trying in an underhanded way to get them back to the service.

Since they are only a couple of them, I am not sure what to do. But I understand your point.

If you refine the user experience of that touchpoint, it's where you might get the most valuable feedback for your startup.

I need to revisit some things. I now understand that. Thank you.
