🔨Facebook Ads Algo Breakdown! How to WIN AD Auctions!

👎Facebook Ads Sucks 🙁

💭This is how many new store owners think after spending 100s of bucks on ads.
If you’re the one don’t blame yourself because no-one in the industry talks about it, Even paid courses didn’t even talk about this.

*Why? *

If they do, Algo will definitely be re-trained after massive manipulation.

📯But today we are going to break down the Facebook ads auction algo and give you a format through which you can increase the chances of your ad to win the auction.

This post may go long but worth your time. Maybe I need a whole section for this! Check out the whole series here.

Here is the deal:

FIRST LET’S UNDERSTAND HOW THE FACEBOOK ADS AUCTION WORKS?

⚔️Like any other auction, facebook auction works the same way, The one with the higher bid will win the auction but here Facebook tries to maximize the value for both advertisers and for the user.

LET’S SEE WHAT MAXIMIZING THE VALUE MEANS.

The advertiser must achieve the campaign goal and the user must engage with the ad content, and should not bounce back.

To keep this in the flow facebook uses deep learning modules, which start learning when you first launch your ad campaign.

When you start with any new ad set, it goes under the auction where many other ad sets are competing against each other for showing the ad to the common interest audience.

👉*Tip - If you keep your audience broad there are higher chances your ad set goes through multiple ad auctions.**

Facebook didn’t keep its ad algo so simple that big players with big budgets can win all the ad slots, so they also consider the winner ad set on multiple parameters like the previous history of the account, ad quality score, and how precise the audience you’re targeting.

🤔*NOW THE QUESTION ARISES MY AD ACCOUNT IS FAIRLY NEW AND I DON’T HAVE AN AUDIENCE TO PLAY WITH!**

So, here PIXEL comes into the picture. Facebook says feed our pixel with the relevant data and after that, we will help you to figure out more your precise audience.

Now how much do you need to feed pixels? The more the better, And that’s the reason when I say build a niche relevant store if you mix multi niche audiences into one pixel that way you will end up with poor pixel accuracy.

Suppose you want to sell dog collars, then try to keep your store around dogs or maybe pet care. But don’t put running shoe visitors into that. That way Facebook pixel can't create the common data points between the visitors.

Now there is an industry stand that ad set in the learning phase! Believe me, this statement is misused and molded by marketers.

🩹*Let’s fix this down? *

If you run your campaign and nothing happens, no checkouts, no Add to carts, no purchase then you should kill such a campaign on the very first day.

It means that the audience is not for you. And if any particular ad set moves some needle with any of the events mentioned above then you should keep that ad set for another 24 hours and see if it can get you sales or not!

🗑️Facebook Ads doesn’t mean that you waste your $100 on testing with 1 ad set, Never do that, always keep your estimated numbers in front of you even before you run your ad.

💳Like you should know how much money you have to spend to achieve the objective, Of course, you can play until you’re not making any losses. Don’t go beyond your numbers Facebook doesn’t care about your ad failure it’s just a number to its algo but that will cost you real money.

💡I hope you got a basic idea of how the ad auction works, I know it’s complex to understand the whole Facebook ads algo into one post, I have a whole section on the Facebook group, only about ad algo and I always try to keep it updated!
