Hey there,
I put together this landing page, any comments on what is understood about the service + constructive feedback would be much appreciated.
https://shopwindow.carrd.co/
Thanks for your time on beforehand!
Cheers! 🍺
First of all - good job using Carrd and not overengineering it :)
Your hero header, and the first thing I see, is "ShopWindow". Presumably, anyone landing on this page will already know the name of your company. Your hero title should be your value proposition. What do you do? Why do I care?
Further below, you use "Spin up a store in a single click". This is a LOT better as a headline. I immediately know what your product is and who this is for.
"Simple, ready online shoppable catalogs for you to use anywhere!" There should be a comma here after "ready". Also, I don't know what "shoppable catalog" means. Aren't all catalogues "shoppable?" Also, is shoppable a real word?
The three-column bit beneath the hero is a lot more helpful. You're ecommerce software. Cool! That said, the options seem a bit disjointed: developer, marketer, and API. Why not just turn this into two columns, with "for developers" and "for marketers"?
The lack of screenshots is also a little problematic. While illustrations do work for some products (usually enterprise B2B or developer tools), in this case the illustrations aren't helpful and serve only as decoration. For an example of illustrations done well, see Segment.com's art.
My understanding is that you're a link in bio/carrd hybrid. You create a simple ecommerce store, grab that link, and put it in your bios or wherever. Sounds like a simplified Shopify for people who sell primarily on social media?
Thanks a lot for the comprehensive feedback @mirai, I really appreciate it! ❤️️
I must say: you nailed what the service is all about! 💯
Re: shoppable catalogs, I try to express something that is simpler than the typical online store (eCommerce software), but covers the critical (grid of products + processing payments).
If not shoppable catalogs how would you articulate this☝️better? 🤔
You are probably right about the illustrations, I will try and replace them with either screenshots or embedded demos if possible 👍
Thanks again for taking the time, amazing feedback! 🙌
The biggest thing which frustrates me is that you want to sell your solution to store owners, while your website talks to GitHub users. Can help you fix that and get customers, let's connect on twitter.
Hey, thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it!
You are right, I am targeting developers actually, or even marketers that like to play around with no-code tools.
How would you better articulate this☝️message? 🤔
Good to know, hitting you on Twitter 👍
Overall it looks great! But, I'm not experienced in this field so I didn't feel like I understood the product value. Maybe a product demo at the top or split out the section after the hero with images describing those 3 values. Also, I think a comparison on why this is better than shopify or other tools would help me understand better.
Hi! Definitely a cool product, and I agree with the feedback in previous comments. One thing I would add, is that I like the images you're using but they're a bit too abstract for me. I'd really like to see real-life examples of what that "Simple neat design" looks like. Like screenshots or something.
Also, I'm not so familiar with e-commerce, but the prices (9$ and 19$ per year) seem super low to me. It makes me feel almost like it's too good to be true and there must be some catch. I hope this is helpful!
What a great idea! I agree with everything Mirai said above about your UVP.
One thing I'd add is an explainer video or a few illustrations explaining the steps for the visual types.
You have a great line explaining ShopWindow above the pricing section: "Using ShopWindow you can start a profitable business for the price of a meal, in seconds!" I'd definitely leverage that for the heading or the subheading copy - "Start a profitable eCommerce business for the price of a meal."
I love that you put use cases right below the hero, but I'd also like to see it in action. What do ShopWindow stores look like for different segments?
Finally, you have an email subscription form in the footer which is great! However, since most people won't convert on their first visit, I'd create a lead magnet so you still capture their email addresses. Maybe something with tips on creating a store with ShopWindow or something broader about eCommerce for specific audience segments? In any case, it'd be a shame to let all those visits go to waste. Make sure you catch them with an email signup flow! :D
