Hey everyone,
I'm a solo founder in the earliest stages of validating a SaaS idea and would love some feedback from other builders.
The Idea: A pre-traffic conversion grader for Shopify product pages. Basically, a "pre-flight check" to fix conversion killers before a store owner spends money on ads.
The Problem: I could spend months building an AI tool, but I have no idea if people would actually pay for the output.
My Validation Plan: I'm running a "Concierge MVP" entirely on Reddit. I'm going to r/shopify and offering to do 15-20 free, manual audits. I'll analyze their page and reply directly in the comments with actionable advice. No landing page, no email capture. Just pure value exchange to see if the advice I give is actually helpful.
My questions for you:
Is this a good way to validate demand? What are my blind spots with this approach?
Does this sound like a vitamin (nice-to-have) or a painkiller (must-have) for Shopify owners?
If this validation works, what would you do next? Start building the app? Build a paid version of the manual service?
Appreciate any and all feedback on the strategy. Thanks!
