I'm considering building a simple, basic live chat tool, geared towards solo founders, small businesses with one person working on customer support etc.
I frequently add live chat to my projects, and I feel like they are usually geared towards large customer support teams, bloated with functionality that I would never use.
So my question to you is - what functionality in a live chat tool can you absolutely not live without - what is a must have?
Any feedback on this would be much appreciated!
Speaking as a customer, what I'd like in such a tool is some way of pestering the support team if they don't reply within a day or two, until they finally reach back to the customer.
What I really find annoying are the websites that use the usual suspect major chat support tools, and presumably pay good money for them, and often just ignore customer inquiries.
Excellent point! Couldn't agree more
Interesting. I'd like to bounce back the question, what do you think is missing among the current live chat tool? @JamieMcGregor
