I had the idea for this after listening to the MyFirstMillion pod where they mentioned a 1 man powered site that keeps track of the shows you watched doing incredible traffic numbers. Turns out "what to watch" is one of the most popular google searches. Please roast :)

Thats a great idea, I definitely plan on adding more filtering.
First of all, the website doesn't really say anything what it does. Just the domain name and the an overly complicated sorting and filtering options setup which looks like it was made by engineers, for engineers (and only for engineers).
After I click a movie, the UI changes in a way that made me think I got into some sub page, but the browser's back button didn't work. It's very confusing to navigate this.
Also, if I want to see a listing of the most popular movies, why wouldn't I just go to IMDB? If you want to solve the problem of "what to watch", you need to do something more than just list the most popular movies with zero search options or proper filtering.
This is an interesting idea but it needs a lot more work.
Thank you for the thorough feedback. Definitely still a work in progress. The point of the filters and not search is give people the right criteria to find movies by.
If your using search you already know what you want to watch, but with that said I will probably add search in the near future.
Really really really good to know that the poster click is jarring, that is fixable.
Minimal styling on the form just to check if the content engages, but plan on making that a friendlier UI.
IMDB is great, but it doesn't mean there aren't room for other players to provide new ways to explore the worlds best content. Sometimes the "Top 100" lists get tired. I am somewhat limited by the API I am using, but I think its really fun to see how these movies stack up against each other.
