First 10 users ACQUIRED!

I'm happy to share that we have grown our first 10 users! This is incredible. Though there has been 10 users, I must say that there are things to be learned, and many many things to improve.

  1. Acquisition Channels
I have distributed my landing page to several Facebook groups and on Indie Hackers. To date, I have attracted 194 unique visitors to the landing page.

80% of this traffic came from FB/IH. Most of this traffic is not convertible, so I will be focusing on different channels next week.

15% of the traffic came from the Shopify app store search functionality. I'll have to make another post on the search terms that people are using to find my app.

  1. Churn Rate
Initially, I thought that the churn rate was really high. But after looking at the hard numbers, it's actually not so bad.

I'm looking at about an 80% churn rate. That means 20% of my users keep the app for longer than 3 days.

I definitely believe this can be significantly improved however. I can see the 3 day churn rate going as low as 20%.

  1. Product Development
There are a few bugs that need to be patched, but overall, the feedback I have received from users so far is that the product needs significant change in order to be truly valuable. What I have now is really an MVP. The problem that my app aims to solve is a real pain point that users are having, and actively seeking solutions for.

That said, I plan on moving the product in a new direction. More on this later.

Overall, the app has been received neutral by the market. There's definitely users willing to try it out, so as long as I drill down on the product, I believe I will see large growth.

    Again, congratz!

I'm curious, what analytics you use? I mean, the rise of ad blockers put me off from using Google.
