First active user — he came back on his own

Week 10. The numbers look bad:

  • 1,300 visitors
  • 30+ cold emails sent → 0 replies
  • 15+ DMs → 0 replies
  • 1 sign-up (2 weeks ago, inactive)

I was ready to put CLOBSOW in maintenance mode.

Then that one inactive sign-up came back.
Without any message from me. Without a reminder.
Without a "hey did you check it out" nudge.

He created a client.
Set up a project.
Used the AI SOW Writer (290 API tokens).
Logged timesheets.

The full SOW-to-delivery workflow — used voluntarily by someone who found me through a LinkedIn comment on his own post about SOWs.

The entire journey:

  1. He posted about SOW inconsistency on LinkedIn
  2. I commented with relevant insight (no product mention)
  3. He clicked my profile
  4. He visited clobsow.com
  5. He signed up
  6. He went quiet (I sent 3 messages, no reply)
  7. I stopped chasing
  8. He came back and used everything

What I learned:

  • Chasing kills interest. Patience builds it.
  • 30 cold emails = 0 replies. 1 comment = 1 user.
  • Nobody uses your product on YOUR timeline.
  • The first active user is worth more than
    10,000 impressions.

Other updates:

  • Acquired clobsow.com (was clobsowagency.co.uk)
  • Google AI gives full product overview when asked
  • 4 voiced demo videos on YouTube
  • Interactive demo on landing page (no sign-up needed)
  • New colour palette: cream/navy/orange
  • 500+ LinkedIn connections
  • Best post: 993 discovery (49% strangers)

Revenue: still £0 from CLOBSOW
SmartBot: ₹27K/month (trading bot, separate product)
Active users: 1

Next steps:

  • Wait for his feedback
  • If positive → ask what he'd pay
  • If he stays 2 weeks → ask for G2 review
  • If he refers 1 person → flywheel begins
