First page of HackerNews but weak conversion rate - Help!
We recently hit #3 on HN before getting deleted as a dupe (much less successful post months earlier). We had 70 concurrent visitors and thousands over the 2 hours we were posted before deletion, but only a ~11% conversion rate.
What stands out? What's a problem? What's missing?

Lack of trust would be my guess..
I got a lot of that in the comments. Is the impression that this is a scam or false offer? Would a "Who We Are" page go towards helping that or is it more to do with the UI or lack of social proof?
