So it has been a long time coming.
It took us 6 months to get to 1000 free users, we felt we were well on the way to profitability. Then it took another whole 12 months to get the next 500. You really have to adjust your marketing strategies in order to grow. You can only go the well so many times.
In that time we launched a PRO plan after surveying our users who indicated what features would be worth paying for. We soft launched it and haven't even communicated it to our user-base yet, and overnight we had our first paid user.
It's hard to explain the feeling of seeing something you've worked so hard on for such a long time become something more than an idea. Once you have a sale you feel like your product is legitimised.
There's been many times where you start to question everything, but this community is such a motivational tool. "Your whole goal is to not quit." @indiehackers
Now to find thousands more of those users.
Congrats Tim! 🎉
