First πŸ’― Reads of my Chatbot Newsletter!

I started my newsletter two weeks ago and I finally got to my first milestone:
100 people have read my first article! πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰

I marketed it through Twitter, Linkedin, and Hackernews. I had initially expected that Twitter would be my best generation, but to my surprise, it wasn't even close!

Turns out that Linkedin is a social network that I have been neglecting for quite some time, and is one that has my best social graph!
Almost 25% of all my reads originated from a Linkedin click, and I had the highest engagement on my one LinkedIn post (1k views, 19 reactions, 8 comments) than all the tweets and retweets (2) that I had on twitter.

Lessons learned:
βœ… Promote your work on all the social media accounts, even if you don't' think some of them are important. I had neglected Linkedin, and could have lost 2 subscribers and 25% of my traffic.
βœ… Engage with your audience. I didn't expect comments, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that my friends were interested in the article once I started replying to their comments!
❌Convert your readers. I did not capture as many users as I thought I would. I only had 3 subscribers out of the 100 reads. I realized after the fact that I did not have a call to action to subscribe to future issues of the newsletter. I'm glad I learned that lesson early!

If you're interested in learning about Chatbots and Conversational AI from an expert, check out the newsletter (free!). I will be sending out a new issue tomorrow!
