Week 9 update. Here's what happened:

Last week I commented on a LinkedIn post by a consultancy leader who asked: "What does your current SOW process look like?"

I answered with how I see agencies lose money between the SOW and the invoice.

He clicked my profile. Visited clobsowagency.co.uk. Signed up.

First user. Zero ads. Zero cold outreach. One comment on one post.

Meanwhile:

  • Cold emails sent: 30+ → 0 replies
  • Cold DMs: 15+ → 0 replies
  • LinkedIn posts: 9,000+ impressions → 0 sign-ups
  • Product Hunt: 6 upvotes → 0 sign-ups

One LinkedIn COMMENT did what none of that could.

The lesson nobody told me:
Posts build awareness. Comments build relationships.
A post says "look at me."
A comment says "I understand your problem."

Other things this week:

  • A digital agency asked about becoming a reseller partner (inbound — they messaged ME)
  • Google AI now compares CLOBSOW alongside Workday and Scoro. It calls us "lightweight indie tool."
    I'm keeping it.
  • 1,300 unique visitors to the site. 1 sign-up. Conversion is now the problem, not traffic.
  • Added email capture, exit-intent popup, and "Book a Demo" to fix conversion.

Numbers:

  • SaaS Revenue: £0 (but first user exists!)
  • SmartBot: ₹27K/month (trading bot, separate product)
  • LinkedIn: 9,000+ total impressions
  • Best post: 948 discovery (58% outside my network)
  • Website: 1,300 unique visitors, 126/day peak
  • Users: 1

What changed my approach this week:
I stopped posting and started commenting on agency consultants' posts. Connected with 5 people who advise agency owners on margins for a living.
Their combined audience = thousands of agency owners.

That's where my next 10 users will come from.
Not cold email. Not ads. Not Product Hunt.
Comments on the right posts, by the right people,
at the right time.

Still offering 3 months free to the first
agency that wants to try it.
