Fitness when working remotely.

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a survey for people who work remotely to ask how it impacts their fitness and wellbeing.

I started working remotely last year for most of my projects and found that being active made a huge difference in my mood.

Would be so grateful for anyone who has a few minutes to answer my questions, I'm going to publish all the results in a free report!

Thanks :D

Have you ever felt that working remotely has reduced your fitness levels?

I'd say it's actually the opposite for me. Working remotely and flexible hours allows me to hop on the bike and go for a long ride when weather's good, and to plan my work hours around the cycling / running workouts I want to do (and not vice-versa).

I feel the same...if I had to go to an office to work I'd never get exercise done. I design my fitness into my real life, not around office life. I did zero exercise when I didn't work remotely. My goal is daily exercise, but is more like 3-5 days per week atm.

Yes I agree the flexibility to go whenever you like makes a huge difference, I think I mainly struggle with motivation and accountability some days.

If I get out of my routine of going it can be pretty hard to get going again!

Motivation & accountability hack: weigh in first thing every morning. Track the measurements (simple paper journal works, smart bathroom scale works).

Daily measurements will fluctuate a lot of course but you will be aware of the overall trend. I find that even without setting any goals, simply being aware of "the number" helps with motivation to do the workouts, to abstain from late night snacking etc.

Counting calories can help you understand the calorie content of different foods and how they impact your overall calorie intake. This can help you make more informed choices about what you eat, and also breastfeeding calorie calculator can help you identify areas where you may be consuming too many calories.

Now that I find a new way to take care of myself, at the moment I work remotely and it is the fact that with this way of working I can afford to take better care of myself at home and not be eating as much junk food as when I was at home. office now from this website I can find everything I need for my home.
