Getting daily signups but barely any sales, early traction reality check

Been getting around 5 new signups a day for Openark lately.

It’s great to see interest growing, especially after weeks of slow progress, but conversions are almost zero so far.

It’s that weird in-between stage where you can tell people want what you’re building, but you haven’t figured out how to make them care enough to pay.

I’m experimenting with onboarding tweaks and simple email sequences to help users get a quick win and see the value faster, but it’s still early.

Curious how other founders handled this stage, when you’re getting steady signups but no real revenue yet.

What helped you move people from curiosity to commitment?

Hi, after the product launch, do you think it's necessary to build a user communication and feedback community?

That's a classic founder challenge! Congrats on the steady signups for Openark, though. You're definitely onto something.

Five signups a day clearly show you’ve proven market demand, a solid win.

But the real cost isn’t zero conversions, it’s the six-figure yearly revenue leak from an onboarding sequence that doesn’t turn early interest into a locked-in financial outcome.

We swap out vague onboarding copy pushing “quick wins” for a three-email sequence that forces the next revenue-driving action, eliminating client risk and securing irreversible scaling. That shift alone lifted the commitment rate by 5X for a similar B2B SaaS.

Your bottleneck is the copy layer. How are you tracking the Revenue Per Subscriber (RPS) impact of your current email sequence, not just engagement?

That in between stage of signups but no sales is tough. Your getting people who are curious not committed. A different approach could be to find your absolute ideal customers and reach out to them directly. For our partners we land them clients who are ready to pay from day one with targeted emails.

Happy to go for a partnership here :)
