Hello Indie Hackers,
I have been lucky enough to get an opportunity to be interviewed by a prominent marketing magazine. I was able to get this opportunity by networking with an editor at this magazine. I expect questions about my product, our entrepreneurial journey, and about my personal life.
Unfortunately, I don't have too much experience speaking to reporters or having my words written down in interview form. Any advice that could help ease my nerves? Anything you do to prepare for interviews like these?
My biggest fear is either wasting this opportunity or saying something that actually hurts our PR in the long run.
Thanks!
Ask the person who will interview if he can send over any information or questions before hand. It's in their best interest to get the best out of it too.
Thanks Rosie! I was planning to do that, but I was unsure if that was in poor taste. That does make sense since the better the interview does the better it looks for their magazine as well.
