Google Ads Trademark words
Hi, Im using the word "nesting" in my google ads campaign and my ad was flagged for trademark -- this is a descriptive term for what my software does and im not sure why my ad was flagged. Does anyone have experience in dealing with this issue?
You got caught by an automated TM filter. Did they specifically note "nesting" as the term that's causing the TM issue? If your product isn't competing with Google's Nest products you can try submitting a request for review.
That makes a lot of sense, I had tried seeing if there was any trademark held on "nesting" but couldn't find one. Yes, they specifically note the word "nesting" is the cause of the TM issue.
Seems like an overly-broad marching algorithm. I bet they just used a version of their search matching technology and you got caught because of a Phrase Match. Seems like it’s their fault based on the info available
This ended up being the issue and they approved my ads.
