‘Google-for-Friends’ Seeking a Fundraising Advisor

At Surf we're building an AI-driven platform that allows users to make new friends anywhere, anytime, to do anything. Our vision is the eradication of loneliness worldwide by making the creation of new connections effortless. Our aim is to create a consumer/social behemoth capable of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with all the platforms you know and love(/hate).

Our path from where we are now to where we aim to be is filled with unique challenges and difficulties. To get there, it's necessary that we get not only the right scale of investment, but the right investors onboard - for an undertaking like ours, every penny of 'smart money' is worth a hundred times that amount coming from anywhere else. The right advice and experience brought in by the right investors will be worth as much, ultimately, as the capital itself.

We're good at a lot of things at Surf - developing award-winning products; building great teams; navigating the common challenges of startup life and creating technological solutions to hard problems - but we lack the kind of vast network that helps other founders fight their way to the right cheques. That's why we're looking for a fundraising advisor who can help open those doors for us.

If you're good at helping companies get in front of the right investors, then we want to talk to you as soon as possible. That goes double if you also happen to have experience in any of our key operational vectors - AI, systems architecture, data privacy & compliance - or have worked with social startups before.

We'll be offering sturdy equity in return for your invaluable service. With respect to time commitment, we're looking for nothing more than a fortnightly check-in, odd-metered ad hoc advice in between, and a willingness to be an evangelist for our mission and product in front of the people we need to impress.
