Google halts updates on paid Chrome Extensions

Recently went to update my chrome extension and was rejected and alerted that my chrome extension may be removed from the Chrome Store. Apparently on the 25th of January, Google silently implemented a freeze on all updates for paid chrome extensions/apps due to massive amounts of fraud.
