Google's AI is citing my SaaS now. Didn't expect this.

You know it's getting real when Google's AI Mode starts using your own content as a reference to answer people's searches.

For the past few weeks I've been tweaking our SEO nonstop.

Results so far:

Every major AI now knows who ProductFitCoach is, including FitDots (our SaaS coaching model). I went from 0 impressions on Google Search to 500+ in the last 14 days, meaning our blog is now showing up when people search health, fitness, or productivity in tech.

Google's AI Mode is also treating our blog as a trustable source.

Here's what I did:

  1. Cleaned up JSON-LD across every landing page: JSON-LD is basically a translator, it's code that tells Google exactly who you are, what you do, and how everything connects, instead of making Google guess. We also linked every social account and our most relevant YouTube videos back to the main site, so all the authority we build elsewhere gets attributed to one place.

  2. Fixed the HTML hierarchy: One H1 per page, only when it matters. H2s and H3s for subtitles and FAQs.

  3. Added an FAQ section to the homepage and our top blog posts, also wired into the JSON-LD.

  4. Canonical URLs on every external post, mainly IndieHackers. Every post here now points back to the original on our blog. This tells Google which version is the source of truth, so ranking signals and authority flow back to us instead of getting split across platforms.

  5. Embedded YouTube videos inside our most relevant posts, so Google can connect the video and the article as the same piece of knowledge.

Now Google doesn't just know what ProductFitCoach is, it knows the people and the story behind it. And it's learned when to surface a video, a post, or a plain explanation. All through free SEO.

None of this was easy, and it's just the start. Big thanks to all the real humans who have helped me through this.

Next up: domain authority, teaching Google why ProductFitCoach should be the go-to source over anyone else. That's a post for another day.

Drop a comment if you're trying to get your product recognized by AI search, and I'll help you however I can.
