Hi Nishant, cool idea! I am having a few difficulties with the page -- I'm not sure what I need to do to Post a book -- the Post button is greyed out. Am I required to add a photo for the message? The photo upload is not working for me (choose photo, upload seems to commence, but hangs). And is the "page" field for the number of pages in the book?

Hi Hake, thanks for Signing up.

Following are the steps to make it work.

      1. Add a book - Search the new book or select an existing
      • In your case, you can select the existing one.
      1. Capture - Snap a picture of the page you are reading.
      • When you click "Add a note". It will show the option to take a picture or upload it, our service will return text from that picture. If the picture is big it can take some time to return the text.
      • You can cancel that write the quote/passage on your won.
        And Save
      1. Add your thoughts
      • Write your opinion.
      1. Add a page number (Optional)
      • This is the page number from where you have taken that quote/important passage.

Seems like the user experience is not very obvious. I'll create a video and put a demo on that note creation page for further help.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah maybe some little UI titles and notes would help with onboarding. Unfortunately, now I get a DB error any time I try to add a book ;[

You can send a screenshot to me directly at @thatjsdev.
I'll share the onboarding resources as well.

Lovely. I'm not certain of the difference between Note and Quote, perhaps you can explain what the difference is for sharing a book. Other than that, looks great.

I can see you have shared your first highlight
              https://ldbc.in/note/rocketshipping-778

Note and Quote are the same things.

The application asks for the following

              • Note = An important passage/quote/highlight/point from the book (write or capture)
              • Thought = Your opinion (write)
              • Page number (write)

Whenever youโ€™re reading, use the Lockdown Book Club's website to organize interesting passages, pen down thoughts on them to save for later, and to share them within the community.
