Have you had success with promoting a tweet?
I recently spent 50 dollars to promote a tweet in order to drive traffic to my site. According to twitter, 24k people say my tweet, but I only got 4 link clicks to my app Simple Pomodoro. I expected a bit more. Have you all tried twitter ads? Have you had any success?
just jumping in here, a little late to the thread but i would like to promote our ecommerce business https://buyfunnyaprons.com I personally use twitter as well but follow mostly thought leaders, do you guys have any colour on whether people use it to follow food bloggers or food related content? Thinking out loud here and wonder if u folks think could be a good investment for my brand...cheers

I am finding some really good CTRs (7% +) with Twitter paid, and it has driven lots of traffic to roastmylandingpage.com.
My technique is to run multiple creative variations (5 +), identify those that are performing and pause those that aren't. Then add new variations. These tweets are promoted only so they aren't seen on my feed.
Don't promote the tweet you like - be objective. Find ones that have a higher CTR and continue to boost them.
If creative variations don't reduce the CPC, you'll need to try new audiences.
Can you tell me the copy you used as I will rewrite it for you too.

Following this as I could not even get the twitter ad up as the creative wasn't showing up due to a tech problem (tried w/o adblocker, microsoft edge solutions but no luck)
What did you choose your target as? Reach/Engagement?
@TheNakedPoet2 thanks for the response. When I quick promoted the tweet, it didn't ask me for a target audience. It appeared to target the United States.
In that case, you should target the niche instead of spreading wide. Begin with Lookalikes of accounts
Twitter Ads sometimes has issues displaying creative. Did you try in Safari? @TheNakedPoet2
