I've been working on something I think you'll find interesting, especially if you care about privacy and security.

What is Beam?

Beam is a web app that lets you transfer files between devices using QR codes -completely offline, with no servers involved, and leaving absolutely no trace.

How it works:

• 1. Open the app on both nearby devices

• 2. Select your file on the sender device

• 3. Scan the QR codes that appear with the receiver device

• 4. File transfers directly between devices via QR codes

Why I built this:

• 🕵️ Complete Privacy: No data touches any server, ever

• 🌐 Works Offline: No internet connection required

• 👻 No Trace: Nothing stored, logged, or tracked anywhere

• 🔄 Resumable: Can resume interrupted transfers

• 📱 Cross-Platform: Works on any device with a camera and browser

• Sharing sensitive documents

• Transferring files in areas with no WiFi

• Situations where you can't use USB, email, or cloud storage

• When you need guaranteed privacy

The app uses a custom protocol I designed specifically for QR code transfers, with chunking for large files
