Help Starting Growing a Following. Any tips?
Sup Indiehackers, my name's Frank and I'm a WordPress dev. I manage a WP maintenance and design & development firm called Ticksites (old name, I kinda wanna change it)... I have a fully remote team based in Venezuela and some contractors in Ukraine and Pakistan.
I mostly find work on Upwork via my personal profile, where I'm Top Rated Plus, a designation given to the top 3% of Upworkers.. I also use my Agency on Upwork to find clients. And I also have some work via my business site.
I'm currently around $2k-ish MRR but my goal is to reach the $100k/month mark.
I know I have a lot of value to add to freelancers, agency owners, and WordPressers... but I have trouble starting. I've never been one to put myself out there and start interacting heavily on Twitter or other social circles.
How does one start from a very minimal following to something big? Any tips? I know that'll help grow my audience and therefore, my business.
One other note: I'm currently working on a SaaS in the education space with my girlfriend ;) can't wait to show it and give more info once we have a much more developed starting point! THANKS!!!! <3
Hey Frank, in a nutshell, most influential founders nowadays started out with zero audience. All they did was to keep writing good content and sharing it everywhere they could.
