I wanted to share something that has become more than just a guiding principle for our development team. It's become our mantra: Edit. Develop. Deploy. Repeat.
This cycle has proven effective in streamlining our development process and improving our workflow. It's straightforward, but each word carries a lot of weight for us.
Edit
This phase is all about fine-tuning the requirements, updating the wireframes, and polishing our designs. We often find that our initial vision can always be improved upon, and this is the stage where we make those tweaks.
Develop
The real coding happens here. This is where we pull together all of our chosen tech—Vue.js for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, MongoDB for the database, and Contentrain for CMS. These technologies enable us to code efficiently and get closer to achieving our project goals.
Deploy
After the development is complete, we deploy our updates in a staging environment first. This helps us identify any issues that might have been missed during the development phase. Once everything is A-OK, it's off to production.
Repeat
In an agile world, the work is never done. There are always more features to build, bugs to squash, and UI/UX improvements to make. We circle back to the editing stage and start the cycle anew.
