Hey, this story is funny...
I'm launching a newsletter targeted towards home gym enthusiasts ( https://gymnirvana.com in case you're curious!).
So, I thought I'd start growing my subscribers list by running some ads on Reddit where I found potential subreddits to target.
I ended up spending a whopping $100 on ads and got 247 clicks, but unfortunately, no new subscribers.
I was super frustrated, and I took to Reddit to share my experience. To my surprise, my post went viral, and people started subscribing to my newsletter.
It's pretty magical that complaining about ads can actually bring in subscribers! What I learned from this experience is that people don't like ads, they prefer personal stories and experiences.
